Right across Shimbashi St. SL Plaza is the most important gathering spot in Shimbashi. From outdoor book expo-salers to amateur musicians performing live shows, people of all kinds and ages gather at SL Plaza and spice up the ambience for their visitors.
Shimbashi St. is one of the oldest stations in Tokyo, therefore it is one of the most important transit and connecting locations. Shimbashi St. is on Ginza line which connects you to the most important stations in Central Tokyo such as Shibuya or Ueno. Transfers for other major stations such as Shinjuku or Ikebukuro are simple, and easy.

Shimbashi St. has also JR Yamanote and Keihin Tohoku lines on which you can reach almost any destination in a practical and fast way. You can travel to Tokyo St. or Narita and Haneda Airports on very economic fares.

Shimbashi St. is 8 minutes walk from Ginza Palace.
Shimbashi is full of any kind of stores such as grocery stores, super markets and other small bussiness. Convenience stores are also on every corner which remain open 24/7. These are a very practical choice for you when nothing else is available around.
Shimbashi is well known for its active night time on weekdays. In Shimbashi everyone sleeps late and most local bussiness as restaurants and bars remain open past midnight. Not to mention Japanese traditional bars dominate the area more than any other thing. Also for either a little snack or a full dinner you can find in Shimbashi from typical and traditional Japanese food restaurants to fast food restaurants such as McDonalds or Kentucky Fried Chicken
Hibiya Park open in 1903 is one of the oldest parks in Tokyo. It is surrounded by the most important government buildings of Japan. It has traditional Japanese gardens, ponds with turtles, cranes and big fountains. It also serves as place for concerts, festivals and other public spectacles.
Tokyo Tower is one of the most distinctive symbols of Tokyo. Standing 333m. it is the highest structure in the city as well as one of the highest of the world. Yet a replica of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Tokyo tower has earned its own identity by becoming one of the major attractions of the city both for tourists and Japanese people and also for giving place to important events such as the New Year's celebration.
Ginza, the glamour and fashion paradise in Tokyo. A must of all those concern about brands, luxury and appearence. Ginza is actually the MOST expensive zone in Japan and is where most prestigious brands for perfumes, clothes and femenine accesories have located their stores. Ginza is also well known for its great number of host clubs, featuring beautiful foreign and japanese hostess for your pleasure.
